Merry Christmas

Happy holidays to all our readers.

We are in Death Valley, at the Furnace Creek campground (map), just a few sites away from where we were in February.

Louise's mom, Edith, and Edith's husband, Bob, are staying at the Furnace Creek Inn, and we have been dining with them there since they arrived on Friday. We will have Christmas dinner with them there tonight, then head our separate ways in the morning.

Death Valley is beautiful this time of year. We were here just a few days before Christmas with my parents two years ago. The Inn does a wonderful job of their holiday decorations, and the weather is perfect for exploring the valley.

Tomorrow, we will head west through Trona and Ridgecrest, then south on CA14 to Santa Clarita.
